Japa is an ancient practice in which a mantra (a sacred word, syllable or a string of mantric sounds) or the name of a deity is recited either silently or aloud. The Sanskrit word is derived from the root, jap, meaning “to repeat quietly and internally.”  When a mantra is repeated 108 times, the person meditating is connecting with the spirit of the universe, paying respects in deep humility to that which pervades all life.

108 high quality 3mm genuine gemstones are hand-knotted in place onto durable silk thread giving the piece a natural and flexible touch.
